With the launch of PUMA’s hotly anticipated evoPOWER and evoSPEED leather football boot range, the iconic sports apparel brand sought to build on that hype with a bold and daring new campaign, and called upon Showtime Marketing’s talented team to help bring their idea into reality.
The concept was simple – use the power of Puma’s new range to allow young football fans a chance not only to stand alongside their sporting heroes, but also giving them a chance to win one of six coveted PUMA Big Shot sponsorships.
The activation tested these rising stars in feats of agility, accuracy, power and stardom along with a hands-on experience of PUMA’s evoPOWER and evoSPEED boots in real-life game play drills. The six talented winners would be given a prize pack of PUMA gear, tickets to the football game of their choice, a professional PUMA-sponsored photoshoot and their visage immortalized in a Sydney-wide local media campaign.
Showtime Marketing brought the local media campaign to life with a targeted street poster campaign, emblazoning the six PUMA Big Shot winners across a range of attractive and high-traffic framed sites in the local area, alongside posters of PUMA’s new range of football boots.
On May 16, the PUMA Big Shot winners took an excursion to see their faces adorned on Showtime’s high-profile street poster sites, and they were absolutely thrilled when they saw themselves – many of whom were excited to have their photo taken alongside their depiction on Showtime’s walls.
The PUMA EvoSPEED and EvoPOWER football boots are now available at major sporting retailers.
